01Quote

Two minutes.

The questions are about what your business does and what the site should achieve. Your answers build a summary that appears right beside them — when it looks right, send it, and the reply will be a quote with a price and a deadline.

What do you do?

This answer only sets a starting point for the rest of the questions — everything after it can be changed freely.

How big a site?

On a one-page site everything sits in one place and scrolls in order. Sections are separate pages, each with its own address and its own place in the menu.

What should the site do?

You can tick several. You can also tick none — then the site simply says who you are.

Who will edit the text and the prices?

“I will myself” means simple content management, where you can change the text and the images without a developer.

In how many languages?

You can tick several. Each language is a separate set of text that has to be kept up.

Are the text and the images ready?

If they are not, the text can be written here and the images found or photographed — that is a separate job.

Do you have a logo and a visual style?

If there is nothing, or it needs redoing, the mark and the colours are made along with the site — that is a separate job, not a part that comes by itself.

Do you already have a site?

If there is a site, it can be looked at before we talk — often part of the content can be carried over.

When does the site need to be live?

If there is a date — an opening, a season, an event — write it in the notes. Urgency can be met, but it changes the price.

What does davisweb take on?

This can change later — we start where the customers are going missing now.

Anything else worth knowing?

Not required. But the more that is known now, the more precise the answer is.

Your request

Sending this commits you to nothing. The reply will be a quote with a fixed price and a deadline, and a demo version can be built before there is any charge.

About the quote

Why is there no price list on the site?

Because a price list either lies or says nothing. A one-page site for a restaurant and a one-page site for a factory with a thousand items are both “one page”, but they are two different jobs. So the price is written after reading what exactly you want — and then it is fixed, not “starting from”.

How quickly will I get an answer?

Within one working day, with a specific sum and a deadline. If something in your answers is unclear, one short question comes first, rather than a general answer.

Does asking for a quote commit me to anything?

No. It is a description, not an order. You get a quote and you can turn it down without explaining yourself — or first look at a demo version, which can be built before there is any charge.

Can the price rise while the work is under way?

No. The contract states the sum and the deadline, and they stand. The only case where the sum changes is if you yourself ask for something extra along the way — and even then it is named in advance, rather than turning up on the invoice.

What does the maintenance plan cover?

The server, the domain, the certificate, backups — and the site and its automatic systems carrying on working. Visibility is kept up, reviews do not go unanswered, and changes are made on request: new opening hours, a different price, a couple of images. If ads are running, we watch which of them bring calls. A report comes once a month, and a question by e-mail is answered within one working day. There is one plan, the same for everyone; it can be taken monthly or yearly, and cancelled at any time, taking the site with you.

I do not know what to tick. Can I just write instead?

You can — write in the ordinary form, in your own words. The form above is meant for those who already know what they want.
