This site collects very little. Everything that is collected is listed below, along with why, how long it is kept and what you can ask to have done with it.

The processing of your data on this website is the responsibility of:
No separate data protection officer has been appointed — write to the e-mail address given above with any question about data.
If you fill in the form on the Contact page, what you write into it is stored: the company name or your name, the e-mail address, the phone number if you give one, and the text of the message. Nothing else from the form is stored; alongside the message, where you arrived from is stored as well (see below). If you write directly to the e-mail address or call, what remains is the correspondence, or the number you called from, respectively.
If you fill in the form on the Get a quote page and send it, the answers you ticked are stored together with the message: the line of business, the size of the site, the features needed, connections to other systems, the amount of content, content management, languages, whether the text and images are ready, the logo and visual style, whether you already have a website, the preferred deadline, and what davisweb takes on. These answers are chosen from a list — they are not freely written text, and questions you did not answer are sent as unanswered. No price or volume of work is calculated from them.
The remaining fields are free text, and all of them are optional: the detail behind any “something else” answer, the address of the existing site, and the notes field. Anything at all can be written in the notes, so please do not write anything there that is not needed to understand the project — for example health data, other people's contact details or passwords.
Until you press the button yourself, your answers are not sent anywhere.
For every page opened, the page address, the date, the site you arrived from, if you arrived from another site, and the campaign tags, if the link carried any, are recorded.
Your IP address is not stored. Together with the browser name it is turned into an irreversible string of digits that changes every day — this makes it possible to count how many people visited the site on one day, but it does not link yesterday to today and does not allow anyone to get back to you from it. No external statistics tools, such as Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel, are used on this site.
If the link you arrived by carries campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content) or the click identifier of a Google ad (gclid), those are stored together with the visit record. If you then send the form, the same tags, the address of the page you landed on and the site you came from are stored against your message as well — that is, next to your name and your contact details.
This is needed in order to know which advertisement or which link led to an enquiry. Legal basis — the legitimate interest of knowing which advertising pays for itself (Article 6(1)(f)). You can object to it by writing to davis@davisweb.lv. These tags are deleted together with the message.
The server the site runs on creates technical logs of errors and requests of its own accord, and an IP address may end up in them for a short time. They serve security and the fixing of errors, and are overwritten automatically.
No automated decision-making or profiling takes place on this site. Data is not bought and not sold, and no advertising network is given your name, your e-mail address, your phone number or the text of your message. One thing does go to the advertising side, and we say it plainly: if you arrive from a Google ad, Google itself has attached a click identifier (gclid) to the link, and once you send the enquiry that identifier, together with the time of the enquiry, is sent back to Google Ads in order to record that the click led to an enquiry. Nothing else about you reaches it.
If you ask for your message to be deleted sooner, that is done, unless the document has to be kept for accounting reasons.
No other client sees your data. No advertising network is given your contact details — only the Google click identifier and the time of the enquiry go to Google Ads (see section 03). Technically, only these service providers have access to your data:
The data is stored in the European Union. The one exception is the Google click identifier: the contracting party is Google Ireland Ltd in Ireland, but Google may also process it outside the European Economic Area within its own infrastructure, on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Data may have to be disclosed to public authorities if the law so requires.
This site uses no advertising, statistics or social network cookies, which is why the consent banner that appears almost everywhere else is not needed here. Two strictly necessary cookies are used:
In addition, the Get a quote page uses the browser's session storage (sessionStorage): the answers you have put together are saved for a moment in your own browser, so that they can be carried over to the contact form. This happens on your device only, is not sent anywhere and disappears when you close the tab.
Everything listed is necessary for the site to work, and the law does not require separate consent for that. No content from other websites — maps, videos, fonts or buttons — is loaded on this site, so when you open it your browser does not contact any third party.
In respect of your own data you have the right:
To exercise any of them, an e-mail to davis@davisweb.lv is enough. An answer follows within a month, and it costs nothing. It may be necessary to make sure that it really is you who is writing — usually it is enough that you write from the same address the message came from.
If you believe your data is being handled wrongly, write to us first — that usually settles it. If our answer does not satisfy you, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: Datu valsts inspekcija (the Latvian Data State Inspectorate), Elijas iela 17, Riga, LV-1050, Latvia, telephone +371 67223131, e-mail pasts@dvi.gov.lv, www.dvi.gov.lv.
If what this site collects changes, this text changes too, and the update date at the top is replaced. An earlier version can be requested by e-mail.
